After spending a decade in the AV business, working for the likes of Comcast, Cablevision and local Audio/Video companies, founder Nick Oramas saw a need in the local market that was not being met; a company that respected their work and wanted to offer an experience like no other.

In 2012 he set out to make his vision a reality. With his wide range of experience including everything from making cable ends to building and wiring “head ends”, running high speed cable lines, and designing and programing high end remotes and control systems, he left his position of 7 years as lead technician for his previous employer and started Techno Sound and Video.

Thanks to his years in the field and a reputation for being dependable, knowledgable and concise he was able to leverage his connections and in no time acquired a number of local customers and contracts with builders.

With the unexpected arrival of Hurricane Sandy that year and the subsequent damage, the newly established Techno Sound and Video team was called upon by several area businesses to rewire their network infrastructures and get them back up and running. With each successful job the companies reputation came to mirror the reputation of the owner himself. It’s been all uphill since then, with a customer base that grows larger by the year and an expanding range of product partnerships such as Sonos, URC, Lutron Radio RA, and Control 4.
